The 9 ingredients of the Cherry Pulp’ cocktail to blossom at work

The 9 ingredients of the Cherry Pulp’ cocktail to blossom at work

Workplace wellness and corporate culture is a vast subject, and since every company is different, we decided to simply give you 9 ingredients from the Cherry Pulp' recipe. Let's get started!

1. Mi Casa es tu casa

Here, it's Julien who waters the plants, Pauline who decorates the walls with her illustrations, and the developers who proudly display their "geekeries" on the desks.

A cup of coffee is so quickly forgotten in the meeting room... No problem, every week the clean squad made up of 2 team members makes sure that our working environment is always welcoming for our customers and also for its main occupants.

But this goes beyond maintenance and decoration, because it is as a team that we have defined the values of the agency, "Benevolence, Performance, Be happy :)", it guarantees us to be on the same wavelength and a cohesion on a daily basis.

2. Ecological gestures

At the agency, we take into account our social responsibility. This is why we supply and use flasks, cups, tote bags, tiffins and why we order exclusively glass bottles, in order to banish plastic as much as possible from our daily life.

For our customers, we host, when possible, the sites on servers that consume less CO2.

We already see you coming, extreme ecologist, we know it's not perfect, but we are open to any initiatives to improve all this.

3. Responsible projects

Our commitment goes beyond ecology because we also promote responsible projects that correspond to our values.

  • One example is the side project "Call Up", a platform made in Cherry Pulp, which aims to boost citizen projects.
  • We have also recently developed the website of "The Activists Department", an agency specialized in committed communication.
  • Or the online petition "Prenons soin de nous" which aims to place the Social Security on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Even if all of our clients do not necessarily share the same values, this allows us to find meaning and therefore additional motivation in what we do on a daily basis. And why not, to inspire and develop the responsible movement that continues to grow.

4. Learning, always learning

Developing skills, challenging ourself, is also the best way to continue to flourish and produce the best fruit.

The latest example to date is the video training of Kathlyne, our community manager, at our 87 Seconds client's office, the result of which you could discover in the first of our "Tastymony" series.

Or the personalized training of Pauline in UX/UI design, by Mike Woollard, a true dinosaur of the game with 20 years under his belt, and who has worked for the biggest web agencies in Belgium.

This also applies to the management and the founders of the agency, who continue to learn about entrepreneurship by joining the Réseau Entreprendre Bruxelles, with whom they benefit from the support of an experienced coach who accompanies them in the growth of the agency. As well as numerous events where they meet with many inspiring entrepreneurs.

5. Web events

"Be aware" said our national JCVD! Web events are ideal for this. This year we went to the KIKK in Namur, and more exotic to the Websummit 2019 in Lisbon, where we were able to draw inspiration from the conferences, represent our own Call-Up project and get advice from Digital Wallonia and Hub Brussels, discover innovative startups, and also meet Belgian colleagues. We had the pleasure to exchange (and have a drink) with Customer, Hireme, Big Boy Systems and even to go to the Belgian embassy.

6. Culinary discovery

Each week, a member of the team introduces the rest of the team to a recipe that he or she particularly appreciates. We have to admit it... we're food lovers.

Dan's Vietnamese pancake lunch, Manu's spring roll workshop, Anthony's cocoa champagne aperitif, or desserts made with chocolate pastries, it's a real Top Chef Cherry version that takes place every week, and where everyone can reveal the Philippe Estebetch ... Etsebetch. Etchebest that is in him!

7. The afterworks

It's important for us to share beyond the briefings, brainstorming, testing, debugging... As they say "after the effort, the afterwork"! A good illustration of this saying when the team was invited to the inauguration of the first 100% ecological coffee shop of our client Newtree in Belgium, for whom we created an eShop. On the programme were exotic chocolates and organic appetizers (and open bar). It's also the best time to place the most fucked-up jokes without getting hit by Nerf balls.

8. Les Nerf

It all started with the smallest models, but as time went on, we built up a real arsenal. Very handy when a colleague doesn't hear you calling him or making a bad joke, or simply to let off steam when you don't understand where this "%@?!#" bug can come from.

9. The team diary

Each month, the team's life moments and the ingredients of the Cherry Pulp recipe are gathered and immortalized in pictures in the newspaper My Tribu News (Web app developed by Cherry Pulp by the way ;) All members have access to the online collaborative editor of the newspaper, and can place the nuggets, which we discover when we receive the newspaper in our mailbox. A great internal communication tool.

Come, join the gang and write the story of Cherry Pulp with us!
